Panenka, back to the game

Privacy

Last updated 19 October 2026

Short version: Panenka has no accounts, sets no cookies, shows no ads and runs no tracking or analytics. Your game settings stay on your device. To show you the site, our hosting partners handle your IP address, like every website.

Who runs Panenka

Panenka (panenkarun.com) is a free, non-commercial browser game made by an independent developer in Italy, who is the controller of any personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact: [email protected].

What stays on your device

The game saves two small records in your browser's local storage: your options (sound, music and effects volume, screen filter, screen shake) and your guest stats (runs played, cups won, best run). They never leave your device, we can't see them, and clearing this site's data in your browser deletes them. They are needed for the game to work as you asked, so they need no consent. A cup in progress lives only in the open tab.

What reaches our servers

When your browser loads Panenka, it sends the usual details of any web request:

Every request passes first through Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), which delivers the site fast and protects it from attacks. Cloudflare processes your IP address for that on our behalf, under its data processing terms and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Its own policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

The game itself is served from a server rented from Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. It keeps no log of visits and never stores your IP address: only error messages, to fix what breaks.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

What we don't do

Coming later

Accounts (sign in with Google or Discord) and optional rewarded videos are planned. Before either goes live, this page will say exactly what they collect, and anything that needs your consent will ask for it first.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, and have it corrected, deleted or restricted, or object to its use. Since Panenka holds nothing linked to you, there is usually nothing to give, but write to [email protected] and we'll answer within a month. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in Italy that is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
